Infinis announces Charity of the Year partners for 2024-25

Marie Curie and Prostate Cancer UK are Infinis’ new Charity of the Year partners for 2024-25.
Every year, all Infinis team members are encouraged to nominate a registered charity that they care about. The company’s charity committee builds a shortlist from the nominations received, which is then put to a final employee vote.
This year two charities attracted most of the votes, so it felt right to award the following amazing causes Infinis' first joint Charity of the Year status:
- Marie Curie – the UK’s leading end of life charity, providing expert care and support in homes, hospices online and on the phone. They are the largest funder of end-of-life care research, and campaign for a better end of life for everyone
- Prostate Cancer UK – whose ultimate goal is to stop men dying from prostate cancer. To achieve this, the charity are funding their biggest ever research project to make a national screening programme a reality for the men most at risk.
Infinis has now committed to support both organisations.
John Okninski, Infinis’ director of human resources, said: “We’re proud to support the incredible work that Prostate Cancer and Marie Curie do across the UK.
“Both charities make a vital difference to communities nationwide - from research and risk prevention, to providing advice and care to people whose lives are affected by cancer.
“We look forward to working together on a year-long programme of fundraising events and activities.”
Amy Oberholzer, Prostate Cancer UK's Senior Head of Fundraising, said: "We're proud to be selected by staff at Infinis Energy to be their joint Charity of the Year Partner, enabling us to raise funds and awareness that will help save men's lives.”
Claire Morris, Head of Fundraising East for Marie Curie, said: “Thank you to the staff at Infinis for choosing Marie Curie as one of their Charity Partners. We are looking forward to supporting the fundraising efforts, and working with colleagues across the company.”
Each time Infinis employees report a safety observation this year, a donation will be made to each Charity of the Year partner. A fundraising programme is also planned to raise money for both causes.
