Renewable electricity generator Infinis, the UK’s leading provider of low-carbon power from captured methane, has announced an expanded £391 million funding structure to support the continued growth of its renewable energy portfolio.

The agreement also welcomes three new lenders, CIBC, DNB and Rabobank - joining Infinis’ existing banking group of Lloyds, NatWest, SEB, AIB, HSBC and Investec. The nine-strong syndicate reflects strong market confidence in Infinis’ strategy and long-term growth ambitions.

Keith Reid, Chief Financial Officer at Infinis, commented:

“This is an incredibly exciting and transformational period for Infinis. With 257MW of new solar capacity being constructed this year, our growth ambitions are clear, but we have even bigger plans for the future! Completion of this Financing provides the capital structure for our planned growth. We are delighted to continue working with our existing lenders and to welcome Rabobank, CIBC and DNB to our banking group.”

With a strong foundation in energy generation from landfill gas, Infinis is expanding its investment in solar and battery storage to help deliver a low-carbon, more resilient power system for the UK.
