Strengthening local ties: Community engagement at Offham Solar
Tags
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming members of Offham Parish Council to our newly energised 10MW Offham Solar Project, a site that proudly generates renewable energy on a former landfill.
A focus on community engagement
At Infinis, we believe that the success of renewable energy projects depends not just on the technology we use, but on the relationships we build with local communities.
“It’s fantastic to see the community’s enthusiasm for the Offham Solar Project. By keeping dialogue open and transparent, we ensure that local voices are heard and that projects like this deliver real benefits for both people and the environment.”
- Colette Flynn, Community Engagement Manager, Infinis
Reflecting on the visit, Sue Taylor, Chair of Offham Parish Council, highlighted the value of being able to see the project first-hand and understand the positive impact it is already having.
Looking ahead
As we continue to operate and develop renewable energy projects across the UK, we remain committed to working closely with communities like Offham. Projects such as this demonstrate how thoughtful engagement and partnership can deliver shared benefits: cleaner energy, responsible land use, and a stronger local voice in shaping the future of energy.
