This job looks after power import and export contracts for the business – for example, checking that export contracts can be billed and paid.
When new projects come up, there is work with partners (such as the National Grid) on contract volume and pricing.
There are some technical discussions for new developments – such as making sure that the correct meters are specified and installed on sites, to record power use.
This job also involves discussions with meter providers to make sure the meter install programme is up-to-date, and any replacements sorted on time.

You need to understand how the energy market works, and how financial and political issues across the world affect the UK.
A power trading background, or experience in commercial energy operations, is ideal for this role.
An energy qualification which covers market issues, such as an MBA in Global Energy or equivalent, would be a bonus.
