Team members from Infinis’ Centre of Excellence scaled the Yorkshire Three Peaks on Saturday 7 October 2023, raising more than £3,300 for mental health charity Mind.

Dominic Wooff, Simon Pennington, Charlie Pennington, Simon Davies, David Gardner, Adrian Nelson, ‘super-sub’ Mark Miller and team driver Richard Temple all work at Infinis’ Centre of Excellence in Lancaster.

The team wanted to take direct action to support Infinis’ nominated Charity of the Year. They agreed that scaling the Yorkshire Three Peaks would be a suitable challenge - and started training a few weeks ahead of the event.

Despite battling blustery conditions on the day, the team completed their ascent in just over nine hours – raising £3,364 for Mind.

Engine overhaul team leader Dominic Wooff said: “The weather lifted coming down from Ingleborough and we could see the route we’d taken; it looked like such a long way. In hindsight, maybe the mist helped. As we couldn’t see far ahead, it didn’t look so much of a challenge!”

Team members commented how grateful they were for the generosity and kindness shown by business contacts, friends and family.

The money raised will help Mind answer more than 330 enquiries to its Infoline. The service helps people access support and information on mental health problems, and believe a brighter future is possible.
